VINIFICATION

Ripe, juicy grapes are picked and loaded into large casks, filling up each with no more than 10 kg. Berries are later carefully selected and destemmed with the help of a vibrating table. They are then being macerated for 13 days in a controlled environment, where the temperature doesn’t rise above 28°C and are continuously exposed to frequent bâtonnage.
Softly crushed and then placed into small oak barrels from 2,25 to 5 hl grapes are kept to mature for 18 months from December to the June of next year in stainless steel tanks, followed by 5 months of ageing in the bottle.

Description

TOSCANA – 100% SANGIOVESE
Only the finest Sangiovese grapes from “Vigna del Pomeriggio” vineyard are hand-picked and carefully selected to craft this elegant and expressive red wine. Grown at 335 meters above sea level, on sandy soils enriched with clay and silt, these 20 to 40-year-old vines give life to a pure and authentic Tuscan experience.
The wine reveals a deep ruby red color with garnet reflections. On the nose, it is intense and refined, opening with aromas of ripe red cherry, dried violets, and delicate spices. Layers of earthy notes, subtle tobacco, and hints of leather and forest floor round out its complex bouquet.
The palate is structured and harmonious, offering a medium-bodied frame with silky tannins and bright acidity. Savory flavors of red berries, herbs, and a touch of oak from 24 months of aging in small 5–10 Hl oak barrels, followed by up to 18 months in bottle, create a balanced and graceful finish.
Crafted using holistic vineyard practices, natural fertilizers, and bottled under the waning moon of June. This Chianti Superiore is a limited production gem (8,000 bottles only) that beautifully reflects its terroir.
Enjoy it with traditional Tuscan dishes, aged cheeses, or grilled red meats. Will age gracefully for the next 15 to 20 years.

Best served at room temperature.
