Ripe, juicy grapes are picked and loaded into large casks, filling up each with no more than 10 kg. Berries are later carefully selected and destemmed with the help of a vibrating table. They are then being macerated for 13 days in a controlled environment, where the temperature doesn’t rise above 28°C and are continuously exposed to frequent bâtonnage.
Softly crushed and then placed into small oak barrels from 2,25 to 5 hl grapes are kept to mature for 18 months from December to the June of next year in stainless steel tanks, followed by 5 months of ageing in the bottle.

A true classic in an elegant ensemble!

This wine introduces itself with a brilliant purple-hued ruby red colour. A delicate, yet intense bouquet of black cherries, violets and roses convey a juicy fruity&floral fantasy, unravelling with profound earthy undertones, forming a perfectly complex full-bodied treat. The impeccably framed and carefully refined vibrant acidity of the Sangiovese grapes brings a wonderful, gentle liveliness to the mouth. Medium to full-body, it embraces smooth, sweetly polished tannins that make this CHIANTI COLLI SENESI RISERVA a deliciously eloquent, mouthwatering everyday wine with an elegant, silky-textured palate. Drinks beautifully now and will age over the next 8-10 years.
Preferably served at room temperature with cured meat.
