Two big events, in November, for our Boutique Winery! Poggio del Moro has indeed been invited to take part in the Florence Food and Wine Biennial (from 16 to 19 November at the Fortezza da Basso) and at “A toast in villa” (scheduled for November 24th). Prestigious occasions that see our winery among the protagonists, thanks to the quality of the wines that we will bring to taste the prestigious guests who will intervene. Two moments to dive into a great experience of taste in the round, culinary culture and pleasure. The Food and Wine Biennial is an event that is renewed every two years and photographs the current state of enogastronomy, with a careful and curious eye towards what changes and is renewed in the food & beverage sector. An opportunity for meetings and exchanges between employees in the sector and the public, to understand the new trends in taste.
Born as a Florentine food and wine biennial in 2008, it has grown over the years to the national level, reaching its sixth edition. From an event destined to a final public of enthusiasts and gluttons, this year it will also be an event for the operators, with the whole day of Monday dedicated to B2B among producers and operators in the food and wine sector.
The 2018 edition also wants to be characterized as the dynamic and accessible edition.
Dynamics: the 2018 biennial will have a single venue at the Fortezza da Basso where six theme areas will coexist for a 4 days full of activities and events at the same time in the different areas. The audience will be the real protagonist of the activities, thanks to the numerous guided tastings, chewable focus, the columns The voice of the Consortium, the Piazza della Pizza workshops. Activities deliberately much more numerous than previous editions, just to give the opportunity to an increasing number of people to be able to enjoy the various events.
Over 200 wineries between single and Consortia, and numerous educational activities for characteristics and styles of beer.
And still many chewable focus on food and the great news of the Table chef. Once the concept of the cooking show is over, the meeting with the great Italian starred chefs will be at the table to make the gastronomic experience real and possible.


“A toast in the villa”: Palazzo Aldobrandini del Papa opens its doors for the first time to an event that combines a new way of discovering the excellence of wine entering the most beautiful historic villas of #Toscana.
An event not to be missed, realized in collaboration with Movimento Turismo Vino Toscana and thanks to the contribution of the Association of Italian Historic Houses, which will take place on Saturday 24 November at Palazzo Aldobrandini del Papa, in Piazza Madonna Aldobrandini, in the heart of Florence. A unique opportunity for lovers of wonders since the event will take place in a private apartment in a building in the historic center, in front of the entrance of the Medici Chapels (between the market of San Lorenzo and Santa Maria Novella), normally closed to the public. To welcome the fans and to guide them in the rooms of their historic home will be the hosts who, exceptionally, will host the wineries.
