September: the sultry heat gradually loosens its grip, to leave room for warmer temperatures. The powerful and vibrant summer light is replaced by a softer one, which fades lightly in the chase of the hours. The color of the trees slowly turns from bright green to warmer shades. It’s a period of climate change, September. Warm, but not stronger, light air, which introduces to a new season. For us, however, September means first of all harvest.

La vendemmia a Poggio del Moro: un momento magico e inimitabile

A moment of intense work, traditionally done by hand, following a tiring process but which, every year, gives us great satisfactions. Because it is in September that the staff of Poggio del Moro begins to select the grapes that will ferment and then become wine. Thus, dozens of men and women, experienced professionals, renew an ancient rite, destined to distribute taste and happiness for the months to come. Here in Poggio del Moro, in particular, we have chosen a natural fermentation, produced by the yeasts of our vineyards, to transmit the maximum expression of their soul.

Here, enclosed in 14 hectares, are born red-Sangiovese, Merlot, Syrah, Cabernet Sauvignon, Pinot Noir, and those with white grapes – Trebbiano Procanico, Grechetto and Malvasia Toscana. We leave the rest to our cellar: the wines rest and grow in an aging room that combines tradition and innovation in their highest expressions. Preserved in this “shell”, they take on an aroma and a taste that will not know equal on your tables.
